The Federal Government with an oral application is asking to withdraw the illegal possession of firearms charge filed against the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele.
The prosecutor made the appeal on Tuesday before Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi with an oral application to withdraw the charge.
The former apex bank governor was on July 25 was arraigned on a two-count charge bordering on “illegal possession of firearms”.
