A female aspirant, Senator Aisha Binani, has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Adamawa State.
The aspirant defeated a former governor of the state, Jibrilla Bindo and pioneer Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu to pick the ticket.
She polled 430 votes against Ribadu’s 288, while Bindo who came third, got 103 votes.
A serving member of the House of Representatives, Abdulrazaq Namdas, came 4th in the primary.
