There were twin explosions which rocked the secretariat of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Aba Road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State Thursday.
The explosion, detonated in a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) occurred at about 3 pm when the council membership primaries of the party was on going, sending members of the PDP scampering for safety.
Though nobody or group had claimed responsibility for the blasts, it was gathered that party members, who ran away later came back after calm had returned to the area.
The eyewitness who would not want to be identified, said “there was panic today as two dynamites exploded during the councillor ship primaries of the people’s democratic party today.
