A former Nigerian Ambassador to the United Nations, Professor Tijjani M. Bande, has been appointed as district head of Besse, in Kebbi State.
This was revealed in a statement by the spokesperson of the Kebbi State governor, Ahmed Idris, on Thursday.
He said Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris approved the appointment of three New District Heads in Gwandu and Arugungu Emirates.
The two other new district heads are: Umar Isah Yakubu Kangiwa as the new district head of Chibike (Mai Arewa Chibike); and Mamuda Bello Marafan Dolekaina (Marafan Dolekaina).
The new district heads were appointed based on merit and excellent track records, the statement said.
