Former Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ishaya Iko Ibrahim, is dead.
He was the 18th Chief of Naval Staff.
He died on Tuesday in Abuja after a brief illness, according to family sources.
The late general was born on 19 September 1952 in Jaba local government area of Kaduna State.
He was flag officer commanding Naval Training Command and Naval Western Command before his appointment as Chief of Naval Staff in August 2008.
He was a member of the 14th Regular Course of the NDA.
