A former Super Eagles striker, Mike Eneramo, has passed on during training in Kaduna, on Friday.
Eneramo died in the early hours of the day during fitness training at a Primary school field in Ungwan Yelwa region of Kaduna State.
The old player had a heart attack, and passed away before reaching the hospital.
Eneramo who starred for the Esperance of Tunisia died at the age of 40 years.
He quit football in 2018 after spending three years playing for Sivasspor, Besiktas, Istanbul Basaksehir, Karabukspor, and Manisaspor in Turkey.
The striker returned to Esperance and went to Cypriot side Türk Ocagi Limasol SK where he called it quit with soccer.
The former Lobi Stars goal poacher had a highly successful stint in Tunisia where he won the Tunisian Ligue 1 five times and was the highest goal scorer for two seasons.
He was also the highest goalscorer in the CAF Champions League in the 2009/10 season, and won the Tunisian Cup thrice.
Tunisia lured the energetic striker for the country’s national team, but rejected the allure to represent the Super Eagles.
Interestinly, his debut was against Tunisia in a 2010 World Cup qualifiers match in which he scored.
He won 11 caps with the Super Eagles netting three goals
