The Police in Lagos State have apprehended an ex-convict, 28, for attempted robbery of motorists while in traffic.
The command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, stated this on Wednesday in Lagos, saying he was apprehended on Tuesday at 1:30 a.m.
“The suspect, who was armed with two knives, was attempting to rob a male motorist on Mile 12 Bridge.
“One other suspect involved in the attempted robbery is currently at large, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend him,” he said.
Hundeyin said preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect was released from prison three months earlier for the same crime, adding that he is currently in custody while investigations continue.
Hundeyin said the suspect would be prosecuted after investigations are concluded.
