The remains of former Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources, Dr Abba Sayyadi Ruma, who died last week in London, were buried in Katsina on Sunday.
Ruma was minister during the administration of late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.
The remains of the former minister was interred at the Danmarina cemetery in Katsina metropolis. President Yar’adua and other prominent personalities was also buried at that cemetery.
Earlier, a funeral prayer was held at the GRA Jumaat mosque.
Those who attended the funeral include business mogul, Alhaji Dahiru Bara’u Mangal and the Director-General of SMEDAN, Dr Dikko Umar Radda, among others.
Secretary to the Government of Katsina State, Dr Mustapha Inuwa, described the death as a monumental loss not only to Katsina but to the nation in general.
He prayed to Allah to grant him Jannatul Firdaus and his family and the state, the fortitude to bear the loss
