Germany edged pass Ronaldo’s Portugal in an exciting match. Germany started brightly and thought Gosens had given them the lead, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside against Gnabry.
Ronaldo opened the scoring with a quick counter attack but own goals from both Dias and Guerreiro gave the Germans a half-time lead.
Second-half goals from Havertz and Gosens extended their advantage, but Jota’s tap-in reduced the deficit to two goals, making the Germans to go home with all the three points.
Germany’s 4-2 win blows Group F wide open, especially considering France dropped points against Hungary earlier today.
