Police officers have sealed the official residence of Galadiman Kano situated at Galadanci quarters in Gwale local government of Kano state.
Witnesses said the police officers were spotted in the early hours of Friday morning, and they barricaded all entrancs leading to the official residence of Galadiman Kano.
“The police came in around 2:00am, the used their vehicles to block entrances and other areas related to the official residence,” a source revealed.
This development is coming at a point when the 16th and the 14th emirs of Kano have both announced the appointments of Galadiman Kano each.
The 16th Episode the mir had announced the appointment of his Uncle Mannir Sanusi as the new Galadiman Kano, while the 15th Emir has announced his older brother Sanusi Ado Bayero as the new Galadiman Kano.
These appointments followed the death of Galadiman Kano Abbas Sanusi some weeks ago.
However, both emirs have slated today Friday for the turbaning ceremony. It was also reported that the 16th Emir had planned to escort the newly turbaned Galadiman Kano to his official residence.
