Bandits have killed 11 farmers and injured many others in fresh attack Sokoto state.
The attack took place at Garin Kuryar in Rabah local government of Sokoto state on Saturday around 11:30am.
A resident of Ghandi, Yahya Ghandi told our reporter that the bandits came in large number and attacked the farmers while working on their farmland.
According to him, six farmers died on the spot while five were seriously injured.
He added that two others were abducted by the bandits.
Another source put the number of death at 8 as two of the injured farmers later died in the hospital.
The source, however, said the abducted farmers were later rescued by Yan Sakai who pursued the bandits.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE gathered that three other farmers were killed in the nearby village.
When contacted, spokesperson of the Sokoto Police Command, DSP Sanusi Abubakar, said he was not aware of the attack but he would find out and get back. He never did.
