Former Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has paid a visit to the National Headquarters of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Abuja, on Wednesday.
Details of the visit was sketchy as no statement has been made on the visit.
The former governor who was rejected by the Senate during ministerial screening last year, was received as the party secretariat by the National Chairman of the SDP, Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam.
El-Rufai was Kaduna state governor between 2015 and 2023 under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Party (APC).
Since his rejection as a minister-designate by the Senate, El-Rufai has been in a political limbo, with rising speculations that he was not in good terms with his successor Governor Uba Sani.
Mr Gabam has described the former governor as ahis friend with high political pedigree.
The SDP took part in the 2023 election, and it is currently in court struggling to secure the Kogi State governorship seat in the November 11 governorship election in the state.
