Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) would address the setbacks of the February 25 presidential election by giving an emphatic victory to all the party’s candidates in the state on March 11.
He expressed regret that the state lost many National Assembly seats in the state.
The state lost all three senatorial seats to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which also won 10 House of Representatives seats leaving the ruling APC with four
But he said he is proud of the contributions the state made to the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in last Saturday’s elections.
The governor said.
El-Rufai congratulated Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his victory at the presidential poll, saying it is a much-deserved triumph, reflecting the connections between dedicated effort and reward.
“In this titanic struggle, we sadly lost many of our National Assembly seats. As regrettable as that is, APC members are still victors. We will campaign hard anew on our strong record of governance in the last eight years in which we have put our people first.
“On that day, our people would use the legitimate route democracy offers to redress the setbacks of 25 February by giving an emphatic victory to all APC candidates in Kaduna State,” he said.
