David Alaba has gone back to Madrid after an international break but is now doubtful if he will in the upcoming Champions League and La Liga El Clasico, due to a knee injury.
During the international break, the defender made two outings for his country, playing 180 minutes of game time in World Cup qualifying matches against Faroe Islands and Denmark.
He is now back in Madrid and set to undergo tests in an effort to determine the seriousness of his injury and to certify if any course of action needs to be taken, with the examination due to take place on Thursday.
