The secretariat of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ekiti State has been burnt down ahead of the inauguration of the state executive council.
The fire razed down the 1000-capacity canopy with chairs, another 150 capacity canopy and parts of the building Secretariat that was torched by arsonists.
The party has condemned the action and demanded security agencies to arrest those responsible for the act.
The party members are currently gathering at the Basiri road in Ado Ekiti, where the secretariat is located and waiting for their national officers, who are expected to inaugurate the new executive members in the state.
Some ADC members advised political thugs to avoid acts that may heat the polity in Ekiti, just as they wondered why they would be burnt down even when the campaign had not started.
