Eight members of the House of Representatives from both Delta State and Enugu State have defected from their former parties to new ones.
Of the eight, six are from Delta State who are dumping the People’s Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress, while the other two members from Enugu State left the Labour Party (LP) for the PDP.
The six Delta lawmakers are Nnamdi Ezechi (Ndokwa/Nkwuani), Jonathan Okodiko (Isoko), Thomas Eriyetomi (Warri), Julius Pondi (Burutu), and Victor Nwokolo (Ika North and South).
The LP lawmakers from Enugu state who headed to the PDP are Mark Obetta (Nsukka/Igboeze South of Enugu state and Dennis Agbo (Igbo Eze North/Udenu).
The letters of defection from the members were read on the floor of the House at the resumption of plenary on Tuesday.
