As Muslims across the world celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Fitr on Wednesday, the Deputy Senate President Barau I. Jibrin, has rejoiced with Muslims in the country on the successful completion of the Ramadan Fast.
Senator Barau, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, prayed Allah SWT to accept supplications, prayers and the good deeds of the Ummah during the blessed Month.
Senator Barau, who is the acting Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, urged all to sustain the lessons of the Holy Month and always reflect it in their daily activities.
Preaching unity among all in the country, he urged Nigerians, irrespective of all differences to pray for the growth and development of the country, stressing that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has good intentions for the country.
While wishing Muslims a joyous and peaceful celebration, Senator Barau appealed to them to spread love, help the poor and needy during and after the festive period.
“This is a period of joy and happiness, as well as a time to show appreciation to Almighty Allah.
“I want to use this opportunity to urge the citizens to remain united and commit themselves to intense prayers for the development of our country. We should all support and pray for the president, His Excellency , Bola Ahmed Tinubu to succeed in turning the fortunes of our beloved country positively,” he said.
