The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday arrested a former Governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari, over corruption allegations.
Yari was held at the Sokoto office of the anti-graft agency and interrogated for more than seven hours.
The Ex-Zamfara governor had in February been interrogated at the Lagos office of the EFCC for alleged attempt to move N300 billion from a corporate account of a bank.
The anti-graft agency had in April 6, 2021 invited Yari to appear before its Sokoto office on April 8 for questioning on allegations of corruption, which Yari honoured on Tuesday.
It was leant that the Ex- governor arrived at the agency’s Sokoto office at 10:45am, and was interrogated for more than seven hours, after which he was offered bail.
