Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have laid siege on the Abuja residence of a former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello.
The house is located at Benghazi Street, Wuse Zone 4, Abuja.
The former governor is facing N84 billion money laundering case before Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court, Abuja.
The case was filed by the EFCC. He is being charged alongside his nephew Ali, one Dauda Sulaiman, and Abdulsalam Hudu.
A statement by Yahaya Bello’s media office on Wednesday condemned the siege.
It urged President Bola Tinubu to caution the EFCC.
The statement said the presence of the EFCC operatives in Bello’s residence negated the order of injunction granted on February 9, 2024, by the High Court of Justice, Lokoja Division.
