The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has invited the former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN).
Malami stated this on his personal Facebook page on Friday, saying as a law-abiding citizen committed to accountability and transparency in public service, he would honour the invitation.
He said he made the invitation public in line with his long-standing advocacy for openness and responsible governance.
“I understand the spirit of accountability and transparency in public service — principles that I both advocate and champion,” he added, noting that he would keep the public informed as events unfold.
The anti-graft agency was yet to provide details on the nature or scope of its invitation to the former Attorney-General as at the time of filing the report.
Malami was Attorney-General and Minister of Justice from 2015 to 2023 under former President Muhammadu Buhari.
