Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested the Director General of Kaduna State Urban Planning Development Agency (KASUPDA). Malam Ismail Umaru Dikko.
Operatives of the EFCC stormed the headquarters of the agency at about 10am on Monday when the DG was in a meeting with some senior staff and whisked him away in its black hilux Toyota.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE gathered that some EFCC operatives and policemen armed with riflles accompanied the KASUPDA boss into the vehicle, while the agency’s haedaquaters was in commotion.
It was also learnt that security men at the agency’s gate tried to stop the operatives from exiting the premises with the director general.
It took the intervention of the director general for the security guards to open the gate before the EFCC exit the premise.
It was also learnt that the director general had been taken to the EFCC Zonal office in Kaduna for question.
The EFCC is yet to issue an official statement on the development.
