The Super Eagles of Nigeria are regrouping in Abu Dhabi in preparation for the Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Cote d’Ivoire billed to start on January 11.
The camp is already alive with players training for the championship under the watch of coach Jose Peseiro
The Eagles would be gunning for the fourth trophy in this tournament which would end on February 11.
The three-time African champions are training in the United Arab Emirates ahead of the tour
They have been drawn in Group A alongside Ivory Coast, Guinea Bissau and Equatorial Guinea.
They face Equatorial Guinea in their opening match on January 14.
Skipper of the team, Ahmed Musa and South Africa-based goalkeeper Stanley Nwabili joins Francis Uzoho and Olorunleke Ojo in the 25-man list named by the manager Peseiro for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, with familiar faces making up the bulk of the roster.
Joined in the attacking line up Africa Player of the Year Victor Osimhen, Kelechi Iheanacho, Moses Simon, Samuel Chukwueze, Victor Boniface, Sadiq Umar, and Ademola Lookman.
Kenneth Omeruo, the only other player besides Musa from Nigeria’s 2013-winning squad, leads the defense alongside William Troost-Ekong. Olaoluwa Aina, Oluwasemilogo Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, Zaidu Sanusi, Chidozie Awaziem, Bright Osayi-Samuel, and Bruno Onyemaechi complete the backline.

Meanwhile, Royal Antwerp midfielder, Alhassan Yusuf, has replaced injured Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi.
Ndidi missed his team’s runaway Championship leaders Leicester City’s 4-1 win over Huddersfield Town on Monday due to an unspecified injury.
Team spokesman Babafemi Raji said on Wednesday that Ndidi was replaced by 23-year-old Yusuf, who has been in good form with the Belgian champions.
Yusuf would be making his first cap for Nigeria for the Cup of Nations.
Ndidi’s Leicester City teammate Kelechi Iheanacho said he hopes to shake off a muscle injury to be available for the competition, which is being hosted by Ivory Coast and kicks off on January 13 in Abidjan.
