The leader of the House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, has been re-elected for the sixth term into the National Assembly.
Mr Doguwa of the APC scored 39,732 votes to defeat his closest rival, Yushau Salisu Abdullahi of the NNPP, who got 34,798 votes.
The results was announced by the INEC returning officer, Professor Ibrahim Adamu Yakasai,
Mr Doguwa is representis Doguwa/Tudunwada federal constituency.
The PDP candidate, Jamilu Dayyabu, polled 2,091.
