London-based DJ Cuppy, a well-known Nigerian disc jockey, Florence Otedola, has said that she has earned her degree from Oxford.
The statement was made on Tuesday on DJ Cuppy’s Twitter page. DJ Cuppy attended the elite university for her Master’s program in African Studies.
Even though she didn’t receive honors or distinction for her thesis, she expressed her excitement over passing.
DJ Cuppy commented that she had a challenging year at Oxford and was pleased with herself for completing her degree. In her tweet, she expressed gratitude to God.
“I obtained my THESIS result, which classifies my MSc degree,” said the tweet. Despite not receiving a Merit or a Distinction, I SUCCEEDED!
“After a challenging year, I can now declare that I have graduated from @UniofOxford, and I couldn’t be more proud of myself. Glory belongs to God.
The DJ described how Cuppy nearly left Oxford twice when she turned in her thesis in July.
“Tears of delight, the wait is at last over,” she wrote. I’ve completed my thesis in full at last! I’m unsure of why I’m crying right now. It truly feels so difficult to celebrate because I’m so exhausted. I’ve pushed myself a ton over the past two weeks to actually accomplish this degree, both mentally and physically. In all honesty, this has been one of my most difficult experiences. Just reading this paper has made me want to leave Oxford twice to the university.
The artist announced in March 2021 that Oxford had accepted her for a master’s degree in African Studies.
She obtained a master’s degree in music business from New York University in 2015, thus this would be her second.
