Business mogul, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, has donated N1.5 billion to victims of the flood which ravaged parts of Maiduguri and environs in Borno state.
Dantata made the donation when he led a delegation from Kano to the Government House, Maiduguri, on Tuesday.
He conoled Governor Babagana Zulum, the government and the people of the state, especially those who lost their beloved ones in the flood.
Dantata, said the economy was deteriorating, and pleaded with the elites and political leaders to repent and fear Allah in their dealings.in t Borno State and Nigeria at large.
Responding, Governor Zulum thanked him for his compassionate visit, saying its serves as a powerful beacon of hope and solidarity during the trying times.
“The people of Borno deeply appreciate this show of humanity by a 96-year-old to visit us. Let me say it, Our Baba has donated the sum of N1.5 billion to support the flood victims. May Allah bless and reward you with Aljannah. Mu gode, Baba,” Zulum said.
Dantata made the donation after his nephew, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, also donated N1 billion to the flood victims.
