Dakkada FC has banned one of its staff for assaulting a match official in their game against Remo Stars which ended in a 1-1 draw on Sunday, January 2.
This was announced in a press release by the club on Wednesday, 5 January on the club’s official Facebook page.
The video of the staff assaulting the match official has been circulating on social media since Monday.
The club also said that “the incident has been reported to the Nigeria Police Force through the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of Akwa Ibom state Football Association who is a Superintendent of Police for thorough investigation and prosecution.
For security reasons the identity of the indicted individual would remain concealed from the public but revealed to the appropriate quarters including the League Management Company (LMC) and the Nigeria Police Force.”
