A 35-year-old man, Auwal Sani, has been shoot by operatives of Nigeria Customs Service at Fadi Gurje village, Mani local government area of Katsina State.
This came a month after Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) patrol vehicle lost control, killing five and injured several persons in Jibia local government area of the state.
Residents told 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE that the incident happened on Friday.
They said the operatives stormed the village in a patrol vehicle and started shooting into the air, and in the process a bullet hit Sani in the leg.
Spokesman of the State Police Command, Gambo Isah, informed the incident.
He said victim had been taken to the hospital for treatment.
