Nigeria has recorded on Tuesday 479 new cases, bringing the total confirmed cases to 156,496.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this on its official website on Tuesday.
The NCDC had on Monday reported 360 infections, one of the lowest single-day counts in recent weeks.
The health agency said the new infections were recorded in 21 states and the federal capital territory (FCT), with Lagos state topping the list with 153 fresh cases.
The NCDC said 647 patients recovered from the infection, bringing the total of discharged patients to 134,551.
The total fatality recorded in the country is1,923.
