The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) on Thursday dissociated itself from the reported claim by Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello, that coronavirus vaccines are meant to kill.
The NGF in a communiqué at the end of its virtual meeting held on Wednesday, said its “totally and categorically dissociated itself from the statement by the governor.”
The forum also announced that Nigeria has been selected among 12 African nations that will benefit from the first shipment of COVID-19 vaccines for developing countries by the end of February.
“The National Primary Health Care Development Agency has indicated that vaccines will be administered in four phases, based on vaccine type and availability, initially for frontline health workers, then the aged (55-year and above), persons with underlying medical conditions and other target groups,” the governors said.
