Justice Yusuf Halilu of the Federal Capital Territory High Court has dismissed the case against a former governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Justice Halilu said the commission’s charges of fraud and abuse of office against Okorocha was an abuse of judicial process because the EFCC had filed a similar charge against the defendant at the Federal High Court.
Okorocha was arraigned by the EFCC on a 17- count charge bordering on conspiracy, stealing, conversion of public funds and money laundering to the tune of N3.1 billion
