Two people have been killed and several houses set ablaze in a crisis between Mbakume and Mbasombo, Gwer East local government area of Benue State.
A source in one of the communities told 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE that the incident happened on Saturday.
He said several people have defeated the two villages, following the killings resulting from the renewed hostility.
Although the cause of the crisis was still unknown, the source said there has been no love lost between the communities for over two years.
He recalled that the 2020 crisis between the two communities was as a result of land dispute.
The spokesperson, Benue state police command, Catherine Anene, confirmed the incident.
She also confirmed that two people lost their lives in the crisis.
