Four people have died as a result of cholera outbreak in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Many others have been taken to various primary health care centres and cottage hospitals in the council area for medical treatment.
The Chairman of Bokkos LGA, Mr. Amalau Amalau revealed this in Jos on Monday, saying communities affect by the outbreak included Hurti, Bokkos West and Bokkos Central and Mangol
The LGA Chairman advised residents to practice good hygiene and keep their environments clean.
“They should keep their environment clean, wash hands constantly, wash vegetables, fruit and drink clean water.
“Above all, they should report any symptom to the nearest PHC or go to the referral center at any cottage hospital in Bokkos,” the chairman added.
