A Chinese national, identified as Mr Gheng has allegedly murdered his former lover, Ummukulthum Buhari, in Kano.
The crime took place in Janbulo area of Kano metropolis, according to Freedom Radio.
The deceased, popularly known as Ummita, was reportedly butchered to death by her Chinese ex in her family house Friday night.
The suspect was arrested by the officials of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) and later handed over to the police.
Ummita, according to the local radio station, was in a relationship with Mr Gheng before she eventually got married to someone else.
The suspect, it was learned, wanted his former girlfriend back after she was divorced. It was not clear what happened thereafter until he jumped into Ummita’s family house Friday night and butchered her to death.
After multiple stabbings, Ummita was rushed to the UMC hospital in Janbulo, where she was certified dead.
