The management of Bayero University Kano has announced the promotion of 25 academic staff members to the rank of professor in recognition of their dedication and contributions to the institution’s educational development.
The announcement of the promotions was made during a colourful ceremony, which brought together Faculty of Arts and Islamic Studies (FAIS) staff, and well-wishers.
Among those honoured were Professor Ibrahim Muazzam Saminu Maibushira of Department of Shari’a and Islamic studies Prof. Aminullahi Adamu Elgambari (Islamic Studies and , Shari’ah), Prof. Halima Abdulkadir Dangambo (Nigerian Languages), Prof. Haruna Muhammad Hadejia (Arabic), and Prof. Husaini Muhammad Lawal (Arabic).
Others include , Prof. Jamila Abdullahi (Arabic), Prof. Mathuli Shehu Kabara (Arabic), and Prof. Maryam Mansur Yola (Nigerian Languages).
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of BUK, Prof. Sagir Adamu Abbas, congratulated the newly elevated professors, emphasizing that their promotions were not only based on personal achievements but also a testament to the University’s academic growth.
