Yusuf Buhari, the only son of President Muhammadu Buhari, is set to marry Zahra Nasir Ado Bayero, daughter of Emir of Bichi Nasiru Ado Bayero, a palace source has revealed.
The source who pleaded for anonymity said the groom-to-be’s family has formally approached the emir to ask for Zahra’s hand in marriage.
He said the marriage is scheduled to take place either before the next Sallah, which is in May.
“We are not certain that any rite has been performed some far,” the source said.
“They met in June in England where Yusuf studied, and Zahra is still a student.”
Earlier this year, the internet was alive with stories of their courtship and rumours of their impending wedding.
It was learnt that the wedding was postponed due to Mrs. Aisha Buhari’s long stay in Dubai.
