President Muhammadu Buhari would travel to Adamawa state on Friday.
The police command in Adamawa says it will deploy a substantial number of its personnel for the visit of the presidential visit.
During the visit, Buhari will be consoling with the family and people of Adamawa over the demise of late elder statesman, Malam Ahmed Joda who died last week.
A statement by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, on Thursday said the command has prepared to deploy its men for surveillance and confidence-boosting patrols to maintain public order.
“It has also ordered the deployment of additional operational assets including police surveillance and operational teams, Police Mobile Force, Counter Terrorism Unit and Crowd/Traffic Control Units,” he said.
He said police and other security agencies would be working in synergy towards ensuring law and order during the visit.
Nguroje, however, called on members of the public to coordinate themselves and cooperate with security agents in the course of discharging their constitutional duty.
