President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered security agencies not to spare any bandit and terrorist in the country.
He gave the order during a condolence visit to the Sultan of Sokoto Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar at his palace on Thursday over the recent bandits’ attacks in the state which led to the death of several people.
Buhari said “we are worried about what is happening in the Northwest.”
He said, “what is happening in the northwest has honestly overwhelmed me; the same people with the same culture killing each other, stealing each other’s property, Wa’iyazubillah Allah ya sawake.
“We have given a clear order to the military and other security agencies not to spare any bandit or terrorist in the country,” he said while urging Nigerians to be fair to him because when he came on board there was no peace in the South-South and the Northeast which he was able to restore.
Sultan Muhammadu Sa’ad recalled how the President gallantly fought for peace in the country during his military career, saying “we are praying for you and other leaders in the country to succeed.
“Because when you succeed we will enjoy the benefit of that success and if you fail we suffer the consequences of that failure,” he said.
