President Muhammadu Buhari landed in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, on Thursday, to inaugurate some projects executed by the state Governor Babagana Zulum.
The visit is also to commemorate the achievement of the governor in the past two years.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE reports that the Presidential jet landed at the Nigerian Air Force base of the Maiduguri International Airport at 9:30am, with President Buhari and his entourage.
The president was received by the governor, members of national and state houses of assemblies, military service chiefs and top government officials.
Like his previous visits, the president is expected during his one day visit to visit the Shehu of Borno in his palace, troops of Operation Hadin Kai, visit wounded soldiers at military hospital at Maimalari cantonment, and inaugurate some projects within the state capital.
