The sons of late President Muhammadu Buhari, Yusuf Buhari, and that of Emir of Daura Umar Faruk Umar, Muhammad Daha Umar, have grabbed the All Progressives Congress (APC) tickets for the 2027 general elections.
The duo are contesting for House of Representatives.
Yusuf Buhari is contesting for Daura/Maiadua/Sandamu constituency while Muhammad Daha seeks to represent Baure/Zango constituency.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE reports that the party had last week decided to use consensus to produce its flag bearers for the 2027 elections.
The party appointed consensus committee for the three senatorial zones on Monday to discuss with candidates and decide on one person per seat.
Despite opposition by some stakeholders in the Daura as reported by 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE earlier this month, the zonal stakeholders settled for Yusuf Buhari and Muhammadu Daha in place of the incumbent Aminu Jammo and Sani Lawal.
Daha is currently the Danburam Daura, the district head of Baure.
