The King David University of Medical Sciences Ụbụrụ in Ohaozara local government area of Ebonyi State has been commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari who begins a two-day visit to the state on Thursday.
Buhari has described the university as a wonderful and excellent project.
Facilities commissioned inside the university include the teaching hospital, the administrative block, hostels, staff quarters and University Secondary school blocks, etc.
Governor David Umahi told President Buhari that the university has some of the most modern equipment in various specialties in medicine installed, adding that the university can produce dialyzers, which is one of the most important components in dialysis.
Umahi also said the institution was constructed through direct labour to cut down costs.
He appreciated the financial support of the President, which enabled the State Government to complete the university and other legacy projects of the administration.
The President also commissioned the King David University Twin Flyover in front of the University and the Uburu-Mpu dualized concrete road.
