The death has occured of the patriarch of the Aledeh family of Agbede in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State, Alhaji Ahmed Alli Aledeh (Namedi).
The late Aledeh is the father of veteran journalist, Sulaiman Aledeh, publisher of Gatekeepers News.
He was aged 80.
According to a report by Gatekeepers News, Alhaji Aledeh passed on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) about 2:30 pm.
The late Alhaji Aledeh was a pioneer staff member of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, where he served meritoriously and voluntarily retired over two decades ago.
Until his death, he was a devout Muslim and community leader.
According to a release by his eldest child, Hon. Hud Aledeh, Pa Aledeh was buried in his hometown of Agbede on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, by 10 am.
He is survived by his wives, children, grandchildren, and other relatives.
