Zamfara State Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle on Thursday sacked all his special advisers and directors-general.
The sack is with immediate effect.
The sack was announced in a statement signed by the secretary to the state government, Alhaji Bala Bello Maru on Thursday.
The sacked special advisers and the directors-general have been directed to hand over the affairs of their organisations to the accounting officers, or the directors of administration of their respective directorates.
“In accordance with restructuring exercise, His Excellency relieved all Special Advisers of their appointments. Similarly all the Directors General are hereby dropped to enable for proper reorganization of the existing Directorates,” the statement said.
The government also created three additional ministries, making a total of 22 ministries in the state.
The new ministries are those of Arts, Culture and Tourism, Higher Education, and Social and Community Development.
