Mr Hope Uzodinma has been re-elected as governor of Imo State, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared.
Mr Uzodinma is the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Saturday election in the state.
The Returning Officer for the Imo State Governorship Election, Professor Abayomi Fashina, who announced the result said Mr Uzodinma, scored the highest number of valid votes cast.
He got 540,308 votes to defeat the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sam Anyanwu, who polled scored 71,503.
The Labour Party candidate, Athan Achonu, scored 64,081 votes.
