The Taliban on Tuesday appointed leaders for its new administration after assuming complete power over Afghanistan in recent weeks.
Spokesperson of the group said Hassan Akhund will be acting prime minister, while Sarrajuddin Haqqani will be acting interior minister.
Mullah Yaqoob, one of the deputy leaders of the Taliban since 2016, will act as caretaker Defense Minister, and Abas Stanikzai will be acting deputy foreign minister.
The Taliban had on Monday claimed victory in the northeastern Panjshir province, the last Afghan region still holding out against their rule.
