Ramadan fasting will begin on Saturday, March 1, 2025, across Nigeria, the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, has declared.
Reports on the new crescent, the monarch said, were received from various leaders across the country which were verified, authenticated and duly accepted.
He, however, urged Muslims to commence fasting and also to devote in worshiping Almighty Allah.
He also urged them use the sacred month and pray for the country and leaders at every level.
He further urged them to give out to the vulnerable so that they could enjoy the fast.
