All public and private schools in Kaduna would resume on Sunday, September 12, 2021.
This was announced by the Kaduna State government in a new resumption schedule dated September 9, 2021.
All schools were shutdown due to bandits violent attacks across the state.
Kaduna’s commissioner for education, Dr Shehu Makarfi, announced the new resumption date during a virtual workshop organised by the Education Writers’ Association of Nigeria.
The workshop is parts of the activities marking the second anniversary of the International Day to Protect Education from Attack, with a theme “Consequences of Violent Attacks on Education in Nigeria.”
Dr Makarfi said students of the state are expected to resume on Sunday, September 12, 2021.
He said rather than resume for the third term that has been aborted in the state, the schools will resume the first term for the 2021/2022 academic calendar.
