Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has lost his son Abdulwahab in a car crash.
This is coming 24 hours after the death of the governor’s mother Hajiya Maryam Namadi.
This was announced by the spokesperson to the governor, Hamisu Gumel, in a statement Thursday evening.
The governor’s mother died in the early hours of Wednesday and was buried in her hometown of Kafin Hausa the same day.
The 24-year-old Abdulwahab died in a car crash along Dutse-Kafin Hausa road Thursday afternoon.
The deceased is survived by his parents and many siblings.
He would be buried Thursday evening in Kafin Hausa town, in accordance with Islamic traditions, the statement said.
