An elder statesman and former Head of Civil Service of the Government of the Federation, Malam Adamu Fika, is dead.
The Wazirin Fiika died at 90.
Family sources said he died mid flight while returning from London to Kaduna.
He was in a London hospital to treat an undisclosed ailment, it was learned.
His funeral prayers would take place at the Sultan Bello Mosque Kaduna on Wednesday by 4pm.
He was born in Fika, Yobe State in 1933.
He was at a time Pro-chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
The deceased was also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF).
He was educated Kaduna Government College and the Nigerian College of Arts, Science, and Technology (Ahmadu Bello University Zaria).
He was a permanent secretary at various federal ministries that include Internal Affairs, Commerce, and Communications.
