Immediate past Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Arc Barnabas Bala Bantex, has died, according to family sources.
The politician died on Sunday.
He was aged 64.
Bantex served as deputy governor to Governor Nasir El-Rufa’i between 2015 and 2019.
He resigned on the eve of 2019 general elections to contest for seat at Kaduna South Senatorial zone on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He was however defeated by Senator Danjuma La’ah of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Bantex once served as chairman of Kaura Local Government Area and was a one time member of the House of Representatives.
