A leading Nigerian constitutional lawyer, Professor Ben Nwabueze (SAN), is dead.
He died on Sunday at the age of 92.
The deceased was at a time Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide.
The legal icon’s death was announced by the President General of Atani Town Union, Arinze Nzeli, on Monday.
Mr Nzeli said Mr Nwabueze died at his Lagos apartment at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 29.
He said the lawyer had been ill for some time before the tragedy.
Mr Nwabueze hails from Atani in Anambra State.
He was born in 1931.
